If you regularly use another mobile operating system (like Apple iOS) you may find Android confusingly similar but different. However, Android is actually quite easy to use and there is lots of excellent Android documentation available on the Internet:

  • The most detailed documentation on Android is at Google Support , so if we ask you to enable Wi-Fi either look there or consult the documentation that came with your phone.
  • To use Google Support you need to know the version of Android your phone is running. You can find this on your phone by looking under "Settings>About phone" (or search Google for how check android version phone ).
  • The most confusing time for an Android newbie is when it asks you a bunch of cryptic questions on first start up. Don't panic, anything you enter can be reset later. Just read the documentation that came with the phone or look for "Starting Android for the first time" on Google Support .
