Standard SIM (15x25 mm). Supported phone sensors: AC mains power (ON or OFF), Location (LatLng and distance from 'home'), Accelerometer (motion, vibration, shake-to-alert), Sound (kdB-seconds), Battery (%), Network (WiFi and mobile), Camera (remote photos) and Memory (MB).

Two-channel DC voltmeter:

Sensor-B

Our most sophisticated sensor to date. Battery backup (for a MaxMon system) plus voltage and mains power monitoring:

  • Input 1: wired connection from battery pack in the range 9-30 VDC (polarity clearly marked on connector). Accepts 0.2-4.0mm2 (30-12AWG) solid wire, or 0.2-2.5mm2 (30-12AWG) stranded wire to monitored circuit (not included). Supports up to 100m wire connections (24AWG).
  • Input 2: standard 5V micro-B USB charger (not included).
  • Output 1: 1m USB A to micro-B charging cable (included) to power a MaxMon phone or Quatropus. The Sensor-B will automatically switch between USB mains power (if present) and battery power, providing continued operation of a MaxMon system during a power cut. The Sensor-B includes a very high efficiency voltage regulator to minimise drain on batteries during a power cut.
  • Output 2: 1m flat cat5e cable (included) for connection to a Quatropus port, to monitor battery voltage and mains power. Supports up to 2m standard cat5e cables.
  • Dimensions: 7.7 x 4.3 x 2.5 cm.

Sensor-S

Monitors total electrical power consumption:

  • See Q: How do I monitor electrical power consumption?
  • The included (blue) current transformer clips around ONE of the main current-carrying cables entering a property (typically at the electricity meter). See safety notice below.
  • Monitors 0-24 kW at 240Vac (please contact us if you are interested in US or EU power monitoring).
  • Cumulative readings in kWh (by default, which is what appears on your electricity bill) or instantaneous power in kW.
  • Accuracy: ±10% (less accurate for reactive loads such as pumps or motors, typically reads high, easy to calibrate).
  • 1m cable on included current transformer (so you will probably also need an extension cable, which can be purchased separately). Uses standard 3.5mm audio connectors/cables. Extension cable lengths tested up to 50m.
  • Includes 1m flat cat5e cable (for connection to Quatropus).
  • Supports up to 2m standard cat5e cables.
  • Dimensions: 5.4 x 3.8 x 2.3 cm.

SAFETY NOTE: the (blue) clip-on current transformer is electrically isolated from the mains cables. But do NOT cut cables or insulation or use with non-insulated cables. Contact a qualified electrician if you are in any doubt.

Radio-control actuator:

  • Switches on/off multiple remote-controlled power sockets*.
  • Range up to 25m (from Quatropus).
  • Includes 1m flat cat5e cable (for connection to Quatropus).

Two-channel relay actuator:

  • Each channel capable of switching up to 5A at 0-30VDC.
  • Each channel by default is open-circuit.
  • Includes 1m flat cat5e cable (for connection to Quatropus).
  • Supports up to 10m standard cat5e cables.
  • Accepts 0.2-4.0mm2 (30-12AWG) solid wire, or 0.2-2.5mm2 (30-12AWG) stranded wire connections to controlled circuit. Length of connection wires determined by resistance and application, but typically ≤100m.
  • Dimensions: 6.5 x 3.8 x 2.3 cm.

NOTE: there is no specific polarity (+ or - connections) and each channel has a separate connector.

SAFETY NOTE: be careful connecting to external circuits. Creating short-circuits or connecting to too high voltages or currents could destroy the MaxMon system or cause a fire.
